Giving Back to Our Military

As the founder of the Sushi Club of Houston and creator of Sushi 101, Carl Rosa has always believed that sushi is more than just food — it’s an experience that brings people together. In that spirit, Carl proudly donates his private sushi classes to active duty military members as his personal way of giving back. It is a small but heartfelt gesture of gratitude to the men and women who sacrifice so much to defend our country and protect our freedoms.

From learning how to properly season sushi rice to mastering the art of nigiri and maki rolls, participants gain practical skills while sharing laughter, camaraderie, and a well-earned evening of creativity and connection.
