Sushi Classes at Home
A typical sushi night at many Japanese restaurants can cost anywhere from $45 to $90 per person. For the past 21 years, our classes have helped sushi enthusiasts bring that experience home by teaching the skills needed to create high-quality sushi themselves — making it possible to enjoy fresher, more personalized sushi while avoiding the rising costs of dining out.

Carl Rosa
Sushi Instructor and
Tour Guide in Japan
In 2005, Carl Rosa founded “The Sushi Club of Houston,” which quickly became the largest sushi-focused organization in the United States. Within seven years, the group grew to more than 17,000 members, bringing together sushi enthusiasts from all walks of life. Over time, Carl expanded the concept into hands-on sushi classes and customized culinary tours throughout Japan.

Over the years, Carl developed meaningful relationships with several highly respected sushi chefs in Japan, including Takashi Ono, Michinobu Mizukami, and Shigeru Fukuyama, gaining valuable insight into traditional sushi culture and technique. Although officially retired, Carl continues to share his passion through remarkably affordable sushi classes designed to help people master the fundamentals of exceptional sushi in the comfort of their own home or business.
Today, he teaches sushi classes throughout Texas and Colorado while partnering with corporations, private groups, and educational organizations to showcase the artistry, culture, and craftsmanship behind sushi to anyone eager to learn.
